A special day

I’ve just been updating the scrapbook that I am making for Sam. I’ve put in lots of new photos and was having a look through the ones that have been put in since his birth.

I also realised that it was a year ago today that we first saw him and I had to share.

Baby MacLeod-Hogg-Mills as he was known then. 12 week scan

Samuel John Charles Mills as he is now known. Today - 1 day off 24 weeks old.

I can now relate to why it’s called the miracle of life. How that tiny wee blob of a person can have turned into the most amazing Wee Man who is learning so much every day.

It’s bloody marvellous and I had to share. Even though it’s 11:15pm and I’m really tired.

My Favourite Photo – I’m Proud to Introduce…

Well, it seems that it’s been a week since my last blog post (it’s the baby’s fault) and the first of this week will be my entry to the Sticky Fingers Gallery again.

This week, Tara has asked us to submit our favourite photo. After initial panic and wondering how I was supposed to do that out of the many many pictures I have, I realised that my favourite photo was taken not so long ago.

The happiest moment ever

Very tired but happy mummy!

This is me, 4 weeks ago exactly, about an hour after giving birth to my beautiful boy Sam. It is the first photo we had taken together, although definitely not the last!

I am smiling the most genuine smile I have ever given and am holding the most precious gift I have ever been given. This is a moment that will never be captured again, I was feeling something I never will again and at that moment I certainly knew I would never be the same again.

This photo captured a life changing moment for me and therefore is up there as my favourite photo of all time.
