Seasons – Scotland

Jamie, Sam and I have just had our first family holiday. We went to the Isle of Arran. A beautiful island off the west coast of Scotland. My Godmother has a gorgeous house there and we went away for some total rest and relaxation.

It rained every day that we were there, but despite this, we went out exploring as much as we could and captured this beauty while on a drive along a very windy road through the middle of the island. I think it captures the season beautifully with the different colours of trees.

If you have never had a chance to experience the sheer beauty of Scotland and the islands then I thoroughly recommend a visit.

Gorgeous. Look at all that sky! I do miss some lumps and bumps in a landscape, Somerset is lovely but a bit flat!

I have spent many holidays in Scotland when I was younger. We were in St Andrews in the summer but your post has reminded me that autumn really is the best time to visit. The colours are out of this world. I’ve never been to Arran but I have spent a cold wet August on Skye.
